The faculty of SICC consists of highly qualified professors, associate professors, and experienced young teachers, with good mastery of or more foreign languages. The faculty also has rich experience in teaching Chinese language and culture to foreign students.

Small classes are set up according to individual student needs, allowing for more practice and speaking time during the class. Under this method both spoken and written Chinese can be rapidly improved.

The college is located in the heart of Shanghai. It is a three minute walk from the South Shan Xi Road subway station, near Huai Hai Road and Xiang Yang Road.

Summer Chinese Courses, 2008 (Basic and Intermediate)
Brief Introduction:
Summer Chinese Courses (Basic and Intermediate) will start in July, 2008, with small group class (min.5 and Max.10).
One month course (4 weeks): 9:00 – 11:30 am from Monday to Friday
Two month course (8 weeks): 9:00 – 11:30 am from Monday to Friday

50 Yuan RMB for those who are in Shanghai
250 Yuan RMB for those who apply for “X” Visa

The college will open a new Chinese language training program in April 2005 for the spring term. The new program will be offered in April and will offer small classes of 5-10 students. These classes will be opened when at least 5 students have expressed interest. Each class will run for three months, consisting of one term.

Lesson setting:
Each lesson will include both reading and speaking. The references mainly with Chinese as Foreign Language Series.

excellent training results for SST in Shanghai International College of Culture

SST is designed by the well-known Korean company, Samsung Group, for the purpose of evaluating the Chinese level of its staff. SST is characterized by a wide range of testing coverage, high flexibility and precise evaluation results.
Due to its wide range of testing coverage, many students are confronted with great difficulties in preparation, not knowing where to start. In order to prepare the students for SST, Shanghai International College of Culture organized a group of experienced teachers who carried out an exclusive research on SST on the basis of teaching practice. Until now, the teachers in the institute have accumulated enough teaching experience. It has also been found that the Korean students’ oral Chinese all reached a rather high level after a year of enhancement training in the college. They had no difficulty in daily communication. What’s more, they all achieved a quite good performance in SST after they went back to Korea.

     SST는 한국에 유명 기업인 삼성회사가 직원들의 중국어 능력을 평가하기 위해 설치한 중국어능력시험입니다. SST시험은 활용성이 높으며, 시험평가의 효과가 정확한 특징이 있습니다. 하지만 범위가 넓기에 많은 학생들이 시험준비를 시작하는데 있어서 어려움을 겪고 있습니다. 상해 국제 문화학원은 SST시험을 출발점으로 경험이 풍부한 교사들을 조직하여 SST시험에 대해 전문적인 연구를 하였습니다. 긴 시간의 강의 경험과 연구를 통해, 본 학원은 많은 강의 경험을 쌓았습니다.반년동안 본 학원에서 전분적인 강화 훈련을 마친 삼성직원들은 귀국한 후 모두SST시험에서 양호한 성적을 거두게 되었습니다.
