Cypress Campus of Shanghai International
College of Culture is located in the Huxin Science Library.
We offer Chinese language courses of different levels including
basic and intermediate Chinese classes, HSK coaching classes,
Chinese classes for children and a variety of Chinese cultural
classes as well. With great flexibility we also provide
private lessons for students to learn Mandarin at home or
in their offices. Students now studying in Cypress Campus
exceed one hundred. The high teaching quality, vivid learning
atmosphere and the beautiful campus have been well accepted
by foreign students and expatriates living in Shanghai.
I.
Application
procedures
1) Applicant in Shanghai should go directly
to Cypress Campus and fill up the Application Form, pay for
the tuition and confirm the course, the date and place of the
classes. 2) Applicant abroad:
(a) The prospective students should first
ask for the Application Form from Shanghai International College
of Culture and fill in the form, then send the application package
7 weeks before study. The application package should include
a completed application form, RMB 250 of application fee and
a personal health certificate.
(b) The Admission Notification and Visa Notification
will be sent from Shanghai International College of Culture
to students 3 weeks before their entrance if they are admitted.
After receiving them, students may contact the Chinese Embassy
of Chinese General consulate for their visa. 3) Students abroad who are going to study at Cypress
Campus in group can apply F visa in group with an invitation
letter from Shanghai International College of Culture.
II.
Fees
1)
Application fee: RMB 50 for prospective student in
Shanghai; USD 30 for prospective student abroad 2) Teaching material
as per actual cost. 3) Rent: USD190~250/month
(two or three persons share one apartment) 4) Tuition (1 lesson=45minutes)

Long-term class:
For classes 20 lessons/week (400 lessons in total):
$1050 (period of half a year), $2100 (period of one year)
For classes 12 lessons/week (240 lessons in total) or 8 lessons/week
(160 lessons in total):
Basic Chinese RMB28/lesson, Intermediate level Chinese 30
RMB/lesson, Advanced level Chinese RMB 32/lesson.
HSK coaching: Basic and intermediate level 40 RMB/lesson,
Advanced level RMB 50/lesson.

Short-term class:
For classes 20 lessons/week:
$320 (period of one month), $560 (period of two months), $720
(period of three months), $100 (period of one week), $180 (period
of two weeks), $260 (period of three weeks)
